Are you happy when you help people, even for little things?
So, guys, I'd like to share my experiences with you all about helping people. If you feel the same, please don't hesitate to high five. ✋😁
So, let's start the story!
Three times, I received free treats (a bowl of chicken noodle) from helping people, which I never expected.
First, my bestie since primary school had a wedding last year, and she messaged me to edit wedding photo passport, make wedding invitations, to which I agreed. We met and discussed the concept, and long story short, it's done. Besides helping her make the wedding invitations, I also helped her print them out at affordable prices. And what did I get? I receive free treats. 😁
Second, my cousin had an 'aqiqa' for her children last year, and I helped her make invitations as well as printed them out. Again, I receive free treats.
Third, two days ago a neighbor (an old lady) had a problem with her phone; it seemed the SIM card wasn't active. Unfortunately, her daughter had just topped up the internet data pack, so I helped her solve it in order to not buy a new SIM card. After trying, finally, it was solved. I didn't expect it, but I also receive free treats.
It's been three times I've received free treats for helping people; however, actually, I didn't expect anything in return because solving people's problems is my middle name, even though I don't have a middle name 😅, and I can learn from the problem-solving process, which is intriguing. So, getting a treat is just a bonus.
Most people here usually ask for help related to smartphones, documents, e-commerce (all about online stuff and gadgets), and I can't express how happy I am because I feel like they trust me. 🥺
Besides feeling trusted, I also have some reasons as follows!
1. Sense of Fulfillment
Helping others gives you a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Knowing that you've made a positive impact on someone's life can be incredibly rewarding.
2. Learning Opportunity
Each problem-solving situation is a chance to learn something new. You can gain valuable skills and knowledge by tackling different challenges.
3. Building Relationships
Helping others can strengthen your relationships with them. It builds trust and shows that you care about their well-being.
4. Personal Growth
Problem-solving can help you grow personally and develop new perspectives. It can also boost your confidence and resilience.
5. Making a Difference
By helping others, you can make a meaningful difference in their lives. Your actions can have a ripple effect, inspiring others to help those around them.
So, back to the first question, are you happy helping people? Me? Yes, I am. However, don't expect anything in return when you help people because a little help you give means so much to them. In the end, being given something as a thank-you is just a bonus. So, don't stop helping people and make a difference now! 😁
