Happy Monday! Start your day with a big smiley on your face, buddy!

Well, I'd like to write about a random thought of mine that may sound absurd for you but it's a real opinion of mine so yeah, okay yesterday I purchased a twenty one pilots merch, my favorite band and I talked to my mother that I bought a new merch that has a full picture on it and it's a skull picture then she replied like,"why do you always collect everything that is related to skulls? Is there nothing more beautiful to collect? without forgetting these expression 😑🙄?".

I automatically laugh because I love to see her like that. (What a naughty daughter!🤣). Little does she know that skull has a lot of meanings to me. 😅 So in this article I'll write about some reasons why I do love skulls. (Not real skulls because I'm not even a psychopath who collects people's skulls, though. It's just accessories, hehe 😶)

So, I started becoming a skull hobbyist when I was kid. When I saw a skull picture on my brother's t-shirt, I didn't know, I found it beautiful and aesthetic. Year by year, I found skull pictures on many things such as posters, stickers, etc and it got me like 😍.

Later on, I tried to look the meaning up on the internet and many people relate skulls to death. It's an important message that once we're gone, we become nothing but skeleton and skull. :) 'The most… or better… or best…' titles won't be forever. (So deep, isn't it?)

Here's to my reasons why I do like skulls. If you're a skull hobbyist, you will probably have the same reasons as me. Without further ado, here we go… The preference for skull accessories can vary from person to person, but here are a few possible reasons why you might be drawn to them:

1. Mortality and the Transience of Life

The skull stands as an enduring reminder of our mortality. It serves as a visual representation of the ephemeral nature of life and the inescapable reality of death. Philosophers have long grappled with questions surrounding the meaning of life, the nature of existence, and the implications of our finite time on Earth.

The skull, in its stark presence, prompts philosophical reflections on the brevity of our existence and the urgency to engage in a meaningful pursuit of truth, knowledge, and personal fulfillment.

 2. Identity and Authenticity

Skulls also bear significance in philosophical inquiries into personal identity and authenticity. As the seat of the mind and consciousness, the skull symbolizes the essence of individuality. Philosophers delve into questions such as the nature of self, the interplay between mind and body, and the authenticity of personal experiences.

The skull serves as a tangible representation of the physical vessel that houses our unique perspectives and subjective realities, provoking philosophical debates on the nature of consciousness, free will, and the boundaries of personal identity.

3. Existentialism and the Absurd

In the realm of existentialist philosophy, skulls find resonance in the contemplation of the absurdity of human existence. The stark image of a skull serves as a potent visual reminder of the existential predicament, where human beings grapple with the tension between their longing for meaning and the inherent lack of inherent purpose in the universe.

Philosophers like Søren Kierkegaard, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Albert Camus have explored the human condition in light of existential absurdity, prompting individuals to confront the skull as a symbol of the profound existential questions that arise in the face of life's inherent meaninglessness.

4. Ethics and Impermanence

Philosophical discussions on ethics and morality also intersect with skulls, particularly in relation to the concept of impermanence. The transient nature of life represented by the skull accentuates the importance of ethical choices and the pursuit of virtue in the face of our limited time on Earth.

Philosophers contemplate the significance of our actions, the moral responsibilities we bear, and the impact we can leave behind in a world marked by impermanence. The skull becomes a poignant symbol that urges us to consider the ethical implications of our choices and embrace a moral framework that contributes to the greater good.

Ultimately, everyone's personal preferences are unique, and it's up to you to determine why you specifically enjoy skull accessories. Reflecting on your own interests and the reasons behind them can provide valuable insights into your personal style and aesthetic preferences.

It's all about the skull things from me. Hopefully this article can open your mind about something that you thought negative at first might have the positive side that you didn't know before. 😁
