Can I give myself a break from wandering to search for the holy book by writing a brief music review? 😅

I'd like to write my opinion on a Japanese band that I've been listening to for a long time; yep, One Ok Rock.

Since they released their album back in 2019, "Eye of the Storm," This year, they released their new album "Luxury Disease" on September 9th, 2022, which I am very excited about.

The track from this album that I'm going to review is Mad World, the 8th track. I don't know why I fell in love with this song since the first time I listened to it. Especially the Japanese version, it fits my ears.

(It's because I haven't checked out the other tracks yet. That's why. Haha)

Mad World brought me to their identity as a Japanese band, not too Western (it's what I've been hoping for..)

• Overall rating of 8 out of 10 for this song

The music has caught my attention since the first time I listened to it. The upbeat.

The lyrics (in English) are catchy...

"We want to beat that generation, but we can't live up to their expectations. Hanging by a thread, so close to the edge"

My personal opinion of this is that this song probably talks about being authentic. That's what I thought of.

(Let's wait for the songwriter to tell us about the meaning of this song.) 😂

Here are the YouTube links for the Mad World song in both Japanese and English to end such a BRIEF review I wrote.
