After sending many cryptic signs on social medias, finally twenty one pilots will release their new upcoming album, their sixth album called Scaled and Icy which is an anagram from Clancy is Dead where Clancy is a fictional character that has been showing up since Trench was released back in 2018.
Well, I'd like to write my opinions down about their new album, based on my personal opinion.
Let's start with their first track Shy Away, musically it's upbeat and no matter how lazy you are to do something, when you're listening to this you'll dance crazily like I often do :v
It's the first time I can correlate their colorful music and inspiring cheerful lyrics, because their old songs mostly have colorful music but depressing and dark lyrics. It's such a good move, Tyler 💛
I myself when I listen to Shy Away, I can feel an energy, a positive energy to be exact and it brings a good atmosphere around me.
Shy Away tells about many questions that we often ask to ourselves like how I will be someone after graduating high school, or completing education degree, et cetera. I can relate honestly.
And through Shy Away, Tyler and Josh try to encourage people, younger people to see their journey in figuring out their life purpose. How deep! Yet still cheerful compared to their old lyrics.
I personally love this song, no matter how.
Ah, I'm almost forgotten not to give my opinion too about their music video, I love every movement from each frame especially when Tyler called someone through a public telephone station, most of clique say that he's trying to call Ned.
The second one is still fresh from the oven, it's just released a few days ago, Choker. Musically it's much slower than Shy Away but either way, it sounds like Regional at Best era especially the rap at the end. Wish other tracks would sound so.
Lyrically, no one has explained about the certain meaning of the lyrics, so I gotta wait for it.
For its music video, I was surprised that Tyler steals a toy from Josh's toy store and he's changed to be a toy at the end, it's cute as well.
I also love this song, even when Tyler's breathing I still love his voice hmm 😂
The whole album will be released on 21st of May and Warner Music Indonesia (as an Indonesian label of twenty one pilots) will give 10 free tickets for their live-stream experience. What a great label!
Last but no least, I was surprised that yesterday Josh Dun was interviewed by National Indonesian TV "KompasTv" and then a theory comes up, will they come to Indonesia one day? Because I'd cook rice for Tyler, he loves it 😅
