Holiday is over even though I didn't really spend my time fully for holiday last two weeks, just taking a break longer than week days. There's still lots of things I want to fight for, so I forced my body to work at the extra time. Well, I enjoy it so far.

My AFT program was stopped for a month and it is continued this week and I'm so excited to learn again. 😁

I'd like to share lots of things I've got from my mentor this week. Want to hear more?

So, on Tuesday I started my first class observation for the second semester online using online learning apps. It is 7 grader.

For this second semester, the students must be more active at class by participating to read some examples, or materials that are given by their teacher. They have to explain it to their friends like their teacher does and their teacher will give them an extra point at the end.

She said that by picking one of her students to participate in any class activities such as reading or explaining randomly not alphabetically be able to train their mental and their speaking skills as well.

Because, in the end of the first semester, she taught to deepen her students English skills especially in writing by reading a book and reviewing it on a blog. (Deep in my heart I ever felt like, it's my effort to deepen my writing skills too 😊)

One of many interesting teaching methods she has is, she never gives any punishment to her students no matter how slow they are at doing their works like being out of the deadline. She only gives them three reminders. Interesting.

Well, let's continue how she teaches their 10 students.

So, for 10 grader for the second semester, she focuses on IELTS speaking because she taught writing & listening before. (Not going to lie, I also learn much more about IELTS, Alhamdulillah 😁)

She also shared some resources to learn or teach IELTS like --Cambridge Intermediate & Advanced Collocations books-- you can google it. It's useful.

She told us that taking IELTS test is more difficult and useful than taking TOEFL because IELTS changes many people's lives so it's good if we start preparing from now on.

Never stop learning.
