Peace be upon you all guys.
Hmm, it seems I didn't drop anything here since last time I posted my latest post.
Well, a bit busy with college tasks where the fifth semester feels kinda heavy to deal with but yeah never give up. (Most of women students at this point would say, "tired, want to marry 😅😂" I'm like hadeh "face palm". Not like that, Esmeralda). It's reached the half, there (a half more) we'll be there, staring something important to us and it's the result of our efforts in going through a valley like Ninja Hatori did.
Well, I'd like to share some precious lessons that I got today from a program that I'm joining, yes, AFT program.
Today is the first schedule of the outline that was shared before by the committee is called class observation, so in a class observation we will observe during two periods time of a class (an online class because we're still in pandemic). We'll observe at least six periods time of class in every week for 24 weeks to deepen our skills and knowledges :)
So, my mentor is Ms. Meutia (she's an English teacher at Pribadi Bilingual School Depok) taught an IELTS class today with more or less twenty students, my colleague and I learned and observed the way she taught via Google meet.
Seriously, even though it's an online learning but the atmosphere is like in a real classroom (reminds me of my classroom atmosphere in high school 😅)
A precious lesson I learned is we are as educators/teachers or kind of, we don't need to make such tricky lesson materials to teach, we just need the simple ones so that our students can be more independent at understanding the materials and doing some tasks that we give to them. A little jokes in the middle of class is okay 😅😂
As I see on recent news that I watched on TV, two students committed suicide because of feeling burdened with a lot of tasks etc. Heartbreaking, right? (They're supposed to be our generations and they deserve to be alive)
It's just a little thing I can share here, hopefully I'll get many precious lessons that I can share for the next :)
