Happy Friday! We meet the most blessed day, Friday again 😁 for all entire Muslim ummah, don't forget to recite Al-Kahf, don't read WhatsApp chats only 😂
Well, I'm back with a local urban legend story on this Friday.
Lawu Mountain is considered as the most sacred mountain in Java (in some opinions).
There's a lot of mysteries and we know that there are many hikers who come home by only the name :") even there are many hikers who lost and no one knows where they are.
Here are some myths or mysteries in Lawu Mountain.
1. The Tiger
Some local citizens say that The Tiger presence is a sign that bad things would happen.
In every Islamic New Year, many hikers would hike, not only hiking but also meditating, keeping away for a while for the crowded of the world.
Some also say that a few days since The Tiger showed up, there, a new victim would be found. :")
2. Cetho Temple Road
Usually, Cemoro Sewu is hikers' favorite road to start hiking but some also choose the start line from Cetho Temple and it leads to a location that's locally called "Bulak Peperangan" or "War Field" in common.
There, people would hear the sounds of war when hikers do a camping and build a tend in the middle of night *goosebumps*.
3. Lawu's Starling
The presence of Lawu's Starling is kind of good signs for hikers especially, because it can lead them to go to the peak of the mountain.
It'd happen oppositely if hikers try to catch the Starling, local people say they'd get lost.
4. The Ghost Market
The last one is the Ghost Market.
Before going to the peak, hikers have to pass through the Ghost Market where local people say if hikers heard something crowded like in the Market, hikers should throw something as though it was a transaction between the seller and buyer.
For you who love hiking, targeting many mountains. As people say, if you're in Rome do what Romans do in Indonesian it's "Dimana Bumi Dipijak, Disitu Langit Dijunjung".
Follow what local people's warns, because I see many hikers say they love nature, but they don't know the rules in the Mountain.
At the end, many of them who get lost or even the worst is dead 🙂
I'm not a hiker myself 😌 but this is a good lesson,right?
